After I completed this spread and slipped it into my album yesterday, I counted the page protectors left before this year is over. Only 4 layouts left - crazy! My last week of 2015 will be Week 48, Thanksgiving week here in the US, and then I will be solely concentrating on my December Daily album. Just as I have the past couple years. I've been thinking about how I'm going to approach Project Life in 2016 and will share more about that near the end of the year. I tend to jump the gun and get excited about starting fresh - but then need to pull in the reigns and chill out a bit. It's only October, Nicole. Anyways, back to this week's spread.
I had an assortment of product sitting on my desk early this week and decided to use what was out rather than rifling through looking for the perfect this or that. I think it turned out nicely. I especially had a lot of fun with stamps I hadn't used yet.
What was happening around here : the official start of fall, breakfast with my mom, Mark and I attended an AIA Detroit Awards show, my sister and I took the kids to the zoo, and we are trying out a new reward system at home. Lots of good stuff.
I've had this LifeLovePaper set on my desk for a couple months and had yet to play with it, so that was the first thing I committed to use. I used the pattern stamps to add a little color to Mark's name tag by layering Glass Slipper with Brilliance Gold ink and love how it turned out! I'm not great at creating my own patterns so this stamp set made it so easy. I'll be using it a lot! One of my other favorite cards is the one with Mark's suit tag. Rather than add a journaling card or piece of patterned paper behind it, I saved his receipt from the tailor and trimmed that down to 3x4 before attaching the tag. I dug into my veneer stash too, and tiny attached the diamond gem and hello right to my photos. Simple, simple, simple.
Extras for this spread : Studio Calico Brimfield Project Life kit, stamps from Pop Art and Lisse Street, I'm So Happy Right Now stamp set, Kelly Purkey Fall Favorites Mini in Minutes kit, Gossamer Blue On My Desk wood veneer.
