After seeing these Paislee Press trading card templates a couple weeks ago, I knew I needed to get them. I was really inspired by what Azzari did with these templates (check out her blog post here) - what a great excuse to create a photo heavy layout. It's been awhile since I've documented a Day in the Life, so I thought it'd be fun to do it on my 37th birthday.
The left side is the front. Right side is the back. These cards are trading card size (a bit smaller than the 3x4 Project Life size), so I used this page protector to hold them. Rather than use just one of the template designs, I chose a mix and arranged them randomly, and I kind of like how the white borders are different in each pocket. The text boxes were part of the template and really easy to edit for your photos. I changed the top text box to the time the photo was taken and I used the bottom text box for a short description.
For the center pocket on the front side, I used the template with no photo to add matching text to a piece of gray woodgrain patterned paper and ran it through my printer. I grabbed some small black number stickers to add the "#37" above my text and then punched a small notch to the top of the card with a circle punch. Behind the gray card, I slipped in a list of the birthday gifts I received. I plan on adding this spread into my Project Life album as an insert so I also added a tab to the bottom right side as well.
Photo heavy and light on words. This was such a fun way to document my day!
