I've collected a wide range of ink pads since I've started paper crafting over a decade ago. From the Stampin' Up Spots to Hero Arts and a few other brands in between, it seems I like to have a big selection of colors to choose from. Having just "a few" doesn't cut it for me, so figuring out how to store them has been a constant struggle. I've seem some awesome storage ideas online (and have pinned several to my craft room board on Pinterest), but I needed it to be slim and not take up half of my desk surface.
My current go-to inks are from the Color Theory line by Studio Calico. Not only are the colors great, but the pads themselves are stackable. Plus, you can purchase label stickers for the edges so you can see what colors you have from the side. I've wrapped the bottom portions of each ink pad along one short side and around to the adjacent long side.
Storage has been simple with these too, as I'm keeping them in this Things Bin from Land of Nod. The container is really for pens, pencils, scissors, etc., but I tipped it up on end to store my ink pads. For just $10, it was a perfect solution. I recently purchased 5 new ink colors to go with the original 12 I bought last year, and after some rearranging, it looks like I have room for 3 more - if I decide to fill it up. The top of the bin is just big enough to hold a couple of acrylic blocks for mounting clear stamps too. Pretty darn perfect.
